Create and run your first load

From booking a load to marking it delivered — the loop that powers every profit number in Truckcess.

  1. Open Operations and click New load Operations is your load board — every load lives in one of four columns: Planned, Dispatched, In transit, and Delivered. Click the New load button (circled) in the top-right to book your first one.
  2. Enter the load details Fill in the pickup and drop-off (the address fields autocomplete), the rate you agreed to, and the miles. Assign your truck and driver now or later — everything here can be edited afterward in the full load editor. Tip: The rate you enter becomes the load's revenue everywhere — the dashboard, invoicing, and profit-per-mile all read from it.
  3. Advance the load as the week unfolds Drag the card between columns as the load progresses, or click it and use the Stage selector (circled) in the side panel. When a load goes In transit, Truckcess snapshots your truck's odometer so mileage is measured from the moment the wheels turn.
  4. Complete the load with real miles Moving a load to Delivered opens the completion dialog. Enter the truck's ending odometer (1) — this keeps mileage, maintenance reminders, and cost-per-mile honest. Record any deadhead miles you ran empty (2), then click Complete load (3). Tip: Skipping the odometer still works — Truckcess falls back to the planned miles — but the real reading is what makes your cost-per-mile audit-grade.
